Encad Inc. Approves MACtac® IMAGin® Products for Use with the VinylJet™ 36
Stow, Ohio May 2003 Now, customers can have the eye-popping graphics they’ve come to expect from MACtac® vinyl at the touch of a button. Encad Inc. A Kodak Company, a leader in digital imaging solutions, has approved several products in the IMAGin® JT5000 Series for use with the VinylJet™ 36, the industry’s first direct-to-vinyl printer.
The IMAGin JT5000 Series is only the fourth calendared vinyl Encad has recommended for its VinylJet 36, which uses aqueous ink technology to print wide-format applications directly on uncoated or untreated vinyl media. Products within the JT5000 Series that have received the stamp of approval:
- JT5529P Demonstrates high conformability to curved, embossed or riveted surfaces. The 2.1-mil product is available in a white gloss finish with a permanent adhesive.
- JT5829P/R This 3.7-mil product is offered in a white gloss finish, with a permanent or removable adhesive, for flat and general signage applications.
- JT5928P/R Excellent for slightly curved applications, the 2.8-mil white matte vinyl is available with a permanent or removable adhesive.
Designed for digital imaging media, the JT5000 Series is ideal for every inkjet application. Typical applications include indoor and outdoor signage. Its smooth finish consistently produces high-quality results while the ultra white color allows graphics to pop.
Teamed with the VinylJet 36, IMAGin vinyls provide significant cost savings to the end user. Through the ability to print direct-to-vinyl, the VinylJet 36 eliminates any needless cutting or matting. It provides users with UV-durable, water-resistant and eye-catching images at a lower price point than any other direct-to-uncoated vinyl inkjet printer. Additionally, the aqueous ink system requires no additional ventilation, making the VinylJet 36 an environmentally friendly choice.
