FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Scitex Vision Opens VisionAcademy in Brussels

Netanya, Israel, 01 July 2003 Scitex Vision announces the opening of VisionAcademy, a comprehensive training and customer support centre, at its new European Headquarters, in Zaventem, near Brussels. The academy’s courses are designed to improve customer’s theoretical and practical applications knowledge when using Scitex Vision equipment.

Initial training is available on Scitex Vision machines including the Scitex Vision CORjet, VEEjet, XLjet and Grandjet along with systems for workflow and RIPing. Achieving optimum results on different substrates and gaining a sound understanding of digital workflow will enable Scitex Vision’s customers to save production time, get the best from their equipment and, in turn, produce the best results for their customers.

There is an extensive range of equipment available for hands-on training, from four to six colour printers, roll-to-roll, flatbed for rigid materials and corrugated presses, thus covering the majority of inkjet market sectors. Apart from the basic training given as part of the installation process, there are four additional levels of training courses offered through the VisionAcademy. Participation in the Level I course is included with the purchase of any Scitex Vision machine. Specific, in-depth training in colour management is given by a professional team of tutors, demonstration specialists and application engineers in a fully equipped demonstration centre. Classes will be kept small to ensure an informal, friendly atmosphere and maximum flexibility. Existing customers can also useVisionAcademy for the training of new operators.

An option for on-site training conducted by VisionAcademy instructors is also available. Upper level courses include Workflow and Operations training, Advanced Operator and Pre-press training. Printing techniques for business development is the focus of the top-level programme; ‘Strategies & Challenges for the Future’.

A Programme for Partnership

Companies whose operators complete the Level I course receive an additional three months of warranty, which makes the investment in time especially worthwhile. “It’s a real example of partnerships,” says Domingo Nieves, President of Scitex Vision Europe. “Each company is investing in its personnel as well as in new equipment and new markets, and Scitex Vision is helping them to make the most of the potential of the machines as well as helping them to develop new market opportunities. Together, Scitex Vision and its customers are cultivating the high quality inkjet market.”

The first course will take place at the end of June and is already almost fully booked. Many of those who registered have already expressed an interest in enrolling on the advanced courses. “The combination of our new demonstration centre with the VisionAcademy programs makes our new facility a hub of excellence for advanced inkjet technology.” Domingo Nieves concludes.
