Samsung America Pushes Further into US Display Market Through BillBoard Video, Inc. Exclusive US Supplier of Samsung LED Displays
Frisco, Texas Samsung America announced today that it is the first Korean supplier of LED (Light Emitting Diode) displays to enter the US digital signage market. Samsung will distribute its LED screens through an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with BillBoard Video, Inc., the only company to provide out-of-home full motion video advertising and content with real-time verifiable impression rates via a Wireless Media Network™.
“The ability to combine BillBoard Video’s technology with the Samsung LED screen allows us to offer the customer a complete digital signage solution,” said William Hall, founder and CEO of BillBoard Video, Inc. “This contract further strengthens our position as a leader in the out-of-home advertising industry.”
Samsung LED display screens utilize a new patent pending Multi-Scan technology. This new Multi-Scan technology allows Samsung to improve resolution by 400% and dramatically decrease the LED display screen cost. Samsung America Inc. is one of the largest LED suppliers throughout the world. Samsung LED screens replace traditional billboards for out-of-home advertising and printed signs in shopping malls and retail stores. They also provide large-format outdoor digital displays in Sports Arenas. BillBoard Video and Samsung North America have bundled together hardware, software and media content through strategic partnerships that make their solution unique and complete.
“Samsung America Inc., selected BillBoard Video to be the exclusive LED supplier in the US because of their superior management and innovative technology solutions,” says John Lee, Vice President of Samsung America, Inc. We are excited to be working with such a quality and forward-thinking organization.”
The decision to enter into the [$700 million] US market with its high quality, low cost LED products should make Samsung America a significant competitor for US LED sales.
