Graphtec announces the JW1000 Wide Format Printer
Western Graphtec, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of precision imaging products for the signage, graphics, and computer-aided design industries, introduces the JW1000 Inkjet Printer. The JW1000 combines advanced inkjet printing technology with unsurpassed print quality and speed.
The advanced technology includes a wide print head, an increased number of nozzles per color, high resolution, and micro sized ink droplets. Heaters are mounted at the end of each nozzle, causing the ink to fire straight down, creating consistent and accurate dot placement.

The JW1000 incorporates new designs in its ink supply system and media supply mechanism, resulting in a simplified, user-friendly system operation. Available in 24” and 36” model sizes, the JW1000 Series is available for immediate shipment and includes 1-year on-site warranty service.
The JW1000 printer features an advanced 1.07-inch high-density print head with six color capabilities. (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta). Each color has 1,280 nozzles or a total of 7,680 nozzles for high quality and high-speed printing. Resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi produces sharp details, providing considerable benefits to graphic artists, CAD and GIS engineers, photo labs, commercial printers, service bureaus and sign makers.
Versatile Applications and High Print speeds
The JW1000 is one of the most versatile printers suitable for multiple markets and applications. In addition to its superb output image quality and industry-leading print speed for production of graphic arts, the JW1000 is compatible with vector data format commonly used in CAD, CAM and AEC engineering. The printer can produce photo-realistic posters, exhibit display/graphics, CAD/CAM drawings and full color banners at a maximum print speed of 322 sq. ft./hour draft mode and 129 sq. ft./hour in standard mode. Due to the high precision dot placement, the standard mode output quality is comparable to or exceeds the best output quality of many other high-resolution printers in the market.
USER FRIENDLY OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
The new JW1000 incorporates a variety of user-friendly features for ease of use and efficiency. The enhanced media supply system accommodates various widths of media and facilitates automatic, effortless loading and alignment. A media take-up system is optionally available for overnight, unattended operation of long print jobs. The JW1000 incorporates an automatic ink priming system, whereby all six supply lines are automatically primed and de-primed each time the ink tanks need to be replaced. A smart chip integrated in each ink tank facilitates convenient and cost-saving ink management.
The smart chip memorizes the ink level and allows the user to remove the partially used tank to meet the requirements of the current application. The removed ink tank can be saved and installed later and the JW1000 will recognize the level of the ink and resume operation accordingly.
