FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scitex Vision launches the Scitex Vision XLjet+ VISCOM Hall 6 Stand G41
Netanya, Israel, August 27th 2003 Following successful beta tests at leading printers, Scitex Vision has commenced commercial deliveries of the Scitex Vision XLjet+, an eight-colour system available in widths of two, three and five meters (7.2, 10.5 and 16.4 ft). The Scitex Vision XLjet+ will be officially launched at VISCOM, Düsseldorf, 4 9 September. Hall 6 Stand G41.
The Scitex Vision XLjet+ builds on the accomplishments of the market-leading XLjet, which has become synonymous with quality and productivity. This second generation system delivers an even more technologically advanced system with additional capabilities and higher versatility, which will ensure its position as the leading super-wide format printer in the market place.
Enhanced capabilities make the Scitex Vision XLjet+ ideal for indoor POP/ POS and applications where close viewing is a factor. The Scitex vision XLjet+ can print double-sided and backlit applications with pinpoint registration, while its ability to print on a wide variety of substrates (including flex, banner, canvas, mesh, Tyvek™ textiles, paper and vinyl), make applications such as billboards, floor and window graphics, textiles (including carpets) and vehicle wraps particularly suitable.
"The Scitex Vision XLjet+ is unquestionably the most versatile, cost-effective high-end system in the super-wide format market. Our on-going dialogue with our customers enables us to respond effectively to their needs and made it possible for us to produce a system that addressed these requirements ". Says Jean-Marc Blum, Scitex Vision Corporate V.P. Marketing.
The Scitex vision XLjet+ is exceptionally flexible and minimizes downtime, as the latest features include the advanced “File-Transformer” software, which enables the printer to deliver files from the Onyx® PosterShop® RIP directly to the printer queue, while the system is printing. The system also supports easy switching between four, six and eight colours (CMYK + LC, LM, LY, LK).
The Scitex Vision XLjet+ is compatible with Scitex Vision’s VisionInk XL200 Supreme and Classic inks, enabling faster printing of perfect images by reducing the number of passes necessary. Additionally, the ink offers a brilliant, unmatched colour gamut and durability of up to two years.
Another new feature is the addition of the new “Sample” printing mode, for high quality demands. The “Sample” mode can be chosen for close-viewing applications, where high quality and small, sharp text is paramount and is ideal for proofing and customer samples. The new system is able to reach speeds of up to 95m²/ hr (1,023 sqft /hr), increasing throughput and cutting delivery time.
Existing Scitex Vision XLjet customers will have the option to upgrade their system to the Scitex Vision XLjet+. The hardware and software upgrades will be handled by Scitex Vision’s support group on a worldwide basis, training is also included in the upgrade package.
Blum concludes, “We believe that printing systems should respond directly to the needs of the customer, rather than have the customer adapt jobs to his printer. Compared to other high-end systems on the market, the Scitex Vision XLjet+ produces the best over-all results with a combination of features that add up to significant operating savings and gains in productivity”.
The Scitex Vision XLjet+ will be performing live demonstrations on the Scitex Vision stand during VISCOM, Hall 6 Stand G41.
