NUR Macroprinters Opens New North American Headquarters and Training Facility
Moonachie, NJ; October 20, 2003 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq-SCM: NURM), a leading
supplier of wide-format inkjet production printing systems for the out-of-home
advertising market, announced today the opening of its new North American headquarters and training center in Moonachie, New Jersey. The modern 11,000 square feet facility replaces NUR's former facility in San Antonio, Texas.
The new headquarters houses NUR's North American sales, marketing, administrative,
and support staff and includes a fully equipped training center run by NUR's color specialists and application engineers. It includes a demo suite outfitted with the latest models of the company's wide-format inkjet production printing systems including a NUR Fresco(R) HiQ 8C 3200 wide-format inkjet production press,
a NUR Ultima(TM) HiQ 5000 mid-range wide-format production printer, and a new NUR Tempo(TM) flatbed wide-format production press.
"With the consolidation of all of NUR's manufacturing in Israel, we took a close
look at how to improve services and accessibility to current and future customers,"
says Nachum Korman, president of NUR America, Inc. "By moving our North American
operational headquarters to the New York City metro area we are able to more easily interface with a much higher percentage of our customers and sales prospects. The area provides us with a larger pool of workers experienced in the graphics and printing industries to compliment our current staff resources."
Key staff members from San Antonio have relocated to the new facility in New Jersey including Nachum Korman, president, vice-president of sales and marketing, Geva Barash, and chief financial officer, Iftach Ifhar. Joining them is a new vice-president for customer support, Boaz Yehezkel.
The company has taken steps to ensure its customer support operations will continue
to run smoothly during the transition. Several support engineers are strategically
repositioned across the Americas, ensuring better coverage for the installed base of customers. NUR America will continue to add new team members in New Jersey to ensure the highest level of service and support to its clients and future customers.
