Giclée Printers Association Makes Anticipated Revival

Anaheim, CA ­ Giclée Printers Association. The GPA has recently appointed Kelly Dickson as the new Director to the growing non-profit organization.

The GPA is a dedicated group of Fine Art Printers, formed in 2001, to create a standard of quality in an industry where none previously existed. The GPA Tru Giclée™ standard distinguishes fine art reproductions printed with the most advanced techniques and equipment. Only a select group of printers, substrates, and inks have been deemed Tru Giclée™ certified. This group of print producers recognizes that all Giclée’s are not created equal. This association has created standards to protect galleries and their customers from misrepresentation. Each member of the Giclée Printers Association adheres to manufacturing the Tru Giclée™ or Tru Décor™ standard of quality and longevity.

Since being appointed, Kelly has begun to serve the membership by helping them differentiate themselves from less conscientious competitors. She has created www.gpa.bz as an information location serving those who invest in the Giclée process. “Printers all over the globe have indicated that establishing a standard in the Giclée market is something that is clearly needed and desired.”

In addition to setting the GPA printer’s apart form the average printer, the GPA serves as a resource for technical questions, market information and provides artists a directory of printers in their area.
