VUTEk® appoints European Director of Services and Support - New focus on after-sales support adds value to VUTEk® customers

VUTEk® Inc., the world's leading supplier of superwide format inkjet printers to the graphics arts market, has appointed Glyn Evans as European Director of Services and Support. Based at VUTEk's European headquarters in Belgium, Glyn is responsible for developing service and support programs for VUTEk's European customers.

With over 23 years experience in the graphic arts industry, Glyn joins VUTEk® from Hewlett Packard's Indigo division where he was Director of Service and Support in Europe. Prior to his position with HP, Glyn held a number of technical support and service management roles at Scitex.

Glyn's knowledge and market experience is expected to be invaluable to VUTEk® customers, by ensuring companies fully utilize the benefits and capabilities of their VUTEk® printers through enhanced customer training and support services.

Speaking of his appointment, Glyn comments, 'I am delighted to be working for VUTEk®. VUTEk® is the leading large format print manufacturer. I have joined a very personable company and a committed team of professionals who are passionate about what they do.

'It is important that VUTEk® customers are able to fully exploit its products capabilities. As such, one of my objectives is to build on and expand VUTEK's customer service and support programs, providing knowledge and sharing best practices for success in a wide range of markets.'

'Currently, VUTEk® has a very successful self-help program that enables customers to service their printers in-house. However, VUTEk® printers are increasingly being bought by companies looking to add large format printing to their existing business. For many of these clients, machine-servicing capabilities are not always available. Recognizing this, a further objective will be to offer customers without in-house technical capabilities, alternative support programs to better match individual needs.'

Glyn has already helped strengthen VUTEk's infrastructure in Belgium, by appointing a European Customer Installation Coordinator, responsible for the delivery, planning and installation of VUTEk® products. In 2004, VUTEk® also plans to launch a new European customer call center and training facility. Glyn will lead both projects, designed to localize customer services.
