Among the printers to be featured at the ISA Show are the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC, the only superwide digital inkjet printer available today that offers eight-color capability with 600 dpi resolution on rigid or flexible substrates, and the UltraVu® 3360 EC eight-color, three-meter printer offering unmatched print speed, quality and versatility. For profit-minded print-for-pay providers, VUTEk®'s digital printing systems offer the flexibility, productivity and quality needed to take on almost any job that will boost profitability while delivering a quicker return on investment.

Available since 2002, the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC is an eight-color printer that provides 600 dpi resolution for superior quality applications with crisp text, sharp lines and photographic detail. It prints directly on a wide range of rigid or flexible substrates up to 72 inches (1.8 meters) wide. Using UV-curable inks, the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC allows selection from a wider range of substrates and minimizes variation in output appearance from substrate to substrate. Recent enhancements to the eight-color model have increased productivity by up to 20%. Also available is the PressVu® UV 180/360 EC, which offers 360 dpi resolution at print speeds up to 1,100 square feet (102 square meters) per hour.

The PressVu® UV series now offers iCut Contour Cutting. The RIP now scales, rotates and duplicates the image/die line combo in the ColorBurst layout. This improvement saves time because there's no cutting and pasting required by the operator. In addition, with iCut Contour Cutting, files are smaller and easier to handle. The iCut Contour Cutting also uses Bezier Curves, which further increases productivity and better overall quality.

Featured with the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC, the Auto Sheet Feeder 180 is engineered to feed a stack of rigid sheets through the printer with minimal delay between sheets, facilitating fully automated material input. It is recommended for a wide range of rigid plastics and foam-centered boards. The feeder will accept a maximum of 144 sheets up to 72 inches (1.8 meters) wide, and has a unique telescopic platform, which extends to 96 inches (2.44 meter) in length to accommodate larger board sizes.

VUTEk® will also display samples of the PressVu® UV's new glass printing capability. VUTEk® has developed a new high performance revolutionary technology that provides excellent adhesion to glass when printing with the PressVu® UV (4b-5b according to ASTM Method D3359B). The primer, which is hand applied, does not discolor the glass - it is optically clear - and allows the high quality graphics produced by the PressVu® UV to pop on a substrate that most other UV inks cannot adhere to well. It also provides excellent resistance to marking and wearing. VUTEk's glass printing technique is a cost effective solution that can be easily incorporated into anyone's workflow for either high or low volume applications.

VUTEk® will also feature the UltraVu® 3360 EC at the ISA Show. It is the ideal solution for high quality, eight-color printing of long term outdoor graphics, wall murals, P-O-P advertising, banners and signage, posters, bus wraps, transit shelters, stage graphics, vehicle graphics, backlit displays, exhibition graphics, and many other applications. The UltraVu® 3360 EC prints on a variety of flexible substrates including paper, vinyl, mesh, pressure sensitive and other materials up to 10 feet (3 meters) wide. With a print resolution of 360 dpi, the UltraVu 3360® EC converts easily and quickly from super Fast-4(tm) color printing to high quality, eight-color printing.
