Wide Range of Technical Topics Addressed at SGIA’s June 22-23 Membrane Switch Symposium
FAIRFAX, VA—Presentations at this year’s Membrane Switch Symposium — June 22-23 at the Adam’s Mark Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA — will enable participants to stay ahead of the equipment and materials they employ, while exploring the latest imaging technologies, production methods and issues surrounding this highly-specialized niche.
Sponsored by Nicomatic (Warminster, PA) — and co-sponsored by Autotype Americas Inc. (Schaumburg, IL), Conductive Compounds Inc. (Londonderry, OH), FLEXcon (Spencer, MA), Nazdar (Shawnee, KS), and 3M (St. Paul, MN) — the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s 11th Annual Membrane Switch Symposium provides participants an opportunity to network with their industry peers and colleagues, while discussing the unique problems and challenges facing membrane switch printers … and learning what it takes to meet today’s end-user demands.
The Symposium opens with a golf outing and welcome reception on June 22, followed by educational programming and lunch the next day. A tour of Nicomatic’s facilities is scheduled for the evening of June 23.
Presented by a host of eminently qualified speakers, this year’s programs include:
- Global Sourcing & Competition for Graphics & Keypads
- Effect of Membrane Switch Construction on Metal Domes
- Surface Mounting Components on Membrane Switches
- Introduction to Bio-Sensors
- Registration Methods for Accurate Placement of LEDs, Domes, Spacers and Graphic Layers
- Productivity Enhancements for Membrane Switch Manufacturers: The Role and Effects of IT/Digital Technologies
- Understanding the Color Management Opportunity
- Substrate and Ink Selection for Screen Printing Membrane Overlays
- Alternatives to Laminating Adhesives
- Radio Frequency Identification Technology
Details about the content of these programs can be found on the Association’s web site — SGIA.org — along with registration materials, information about discounted airfares and low-cost hotel accommodations available to Symposium participants.
Participants at SGIA’s Membrane Switch Symposium will enjoy a special rate of $109 per night at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. In addition, the Association has negotiated special fares with United Airlines, Amtrak and Alamo Rent-a-Car.
