TIR Launches Five New Additions to the Destiny Series of Architectural Lighting Solutions
Vancouver, BC TIR Systems Ltd., a world leader in light enabling technology, is pleased to announce the launch of five new additions to its functionally focused range of architectural Solid State Lighting (SSL) products the Destiny Series.
Officially launched at LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL 2004 in Las Vegas, USA (March 31-April 02, 2004), the series of products will address a wide range of functional requirements for architectural applications.
Designed to meet the needs of the lighting specification community, the Destiny Series offers specialized tools for specific lighting applications, using color and color-changing light to model and accentuate architectural forms. The product line incorporates the most powerful LEDs commercially available as the source of energy efficient, long lasting illumination.
TIR received the Best New Product Award for 2003 at last year’s Lightfair in New York, and, building on this success, and its reputation as a leader in providing SSL solutions, the company has now expanded its flagship SSL product line to include the following:
Destiny CG provides an asymmetric surface graze function, offering a smooth gradient of colored light to accentuate both the architectural element and the surface texture, with a minimal setback distance of 9” (175mm).
Destiny CV provides an even surface glow and paint-with-color function, offering a far throw from a concealed linear source, correctly controlling over-brightness at the mounting point, with a minimal setback distance of 6” (150mm).
Destiny DL provides a direct view function, offering an unmatched level of brightness and resolution while maintaining the uniformity of a continuous linear element of color.
Destiny SL provides highlighting and facilitates the silhouetting of a surface or a structure, offering an intense rectangular punch of colored light, with a setback distance of 8’ to 15’ (2.5m-4.5m).
Destiny LP provides a direct view function, offering a decorative Light Pipe color-changing element up to 30’ (9.8m) in length that enables installation-challenged applications with ease-of-access to the source.
David Sidhu, TIR’s Product Manager for the Destiny Series states; ”With these additional products, TIR can now offer lighting designers a more complete range of solutions to replace conventional lighting in most architectural applications, whereas previously, LED-based products were unable to compete.”
TIR Systems Ltd., a world leader in delivering specialty lighting systems, is building the foundations for tomorrow’s lighting. Through sound innovation and proven technical capability, TIR is developing, designing and marketing the core technologies that will allow Solid State Lighting (SSL) to move to the forefront of mainstream lighting.
TIR will be exhibiting at Booth 1255 at Lightfair International 2004, Las Vegas, from 31st March to 2nd April.
