VUTEk® Sets A New Price/Performance Standard For UV Flatbed Inkjet Printers
DRUPA 2004 - Stand 5C18 - On display for the first time in Europe at drupa 2004, May 6 - 19 in
Dusseldorf, Germany, is VUTEk's all-new PressVu® UV 200/600 digital inkjet
flatbed printer. The PressVu® UV 200/600 is
designed specifically for commercial imaging shops looking to achieve
high-end image quality and greater productivity at an affordable cost. It is
expected that this addition to VUTEk's line-up of award-winning PressVu® UV
digital inkjet flatbed printers will make the advantages of UV-curing
technology immediately available to thousands of print-for-pay providers.
Scott Schinlever, Vice President of Marketing, said, "By setting a
dramatically new price/performance standard, the PressVu® UV 200/600 will
drive the rapid adoption of UV flatbed technology."
The UV-curing PressVu® UV 200/600 digital inkjet printer delivers stunning
four- and six-color, 600 dpi, photographic color reproduction and crisp text
reproduction. The versatility of the printer allows owners to expand their
services and satisfy a nearly infinite variety of long-term outdoor and
indoor applications. Color gradients are smooth in the printer's
six-color/600 dpi mode, and the accurate and repeatable matching of target
colors is now possible for commercial imagers. The PressVu® UV 200/600 is
24/7 shop floor durable and delivers consistent quality on an endless
variety of sheet-fed or roll-to-roll materials. Millions of possible color
choices are now available at the click of a mouse, eliminating the need to
stock colored vinyl as is necessary with traditional printing methods.
The PressVu® UV 200/600 prints on both roll-to-roll and rigid substrates.
This two-printer-in-one capability allows commercial imaging shops to offer
a more comprehensive range of applications - increasing value to customers
and driving up profitability. The switch between roll-to-roll and rigid
materials is quick and easy, and can be completed by a single person, so
operators can spend more time producing output and less time setting up.
Available in four- and six-color models, the PressVu® UV 200/600 can print
up to 80 inches (2 meters) wide at 350 square feet per hour (33 square
meters per hour). It prints on rigid materials up to 1.75 inches (4.45
centimeters) thick. The PressVu® UV 200/600 comes standard with a set of
rigid tables and easily accommodates the addition of others for handling of
longer board sizes.
Beta testing for the PressVu® UV 200/600 is underway, and will be available
for shipping mid year 2004.
Also on display at drupa will be VUTEk's awarding-winning PressVu® UV
180/600 EC flatbed printer and the UltraVu® 3360 EC solvent roll-to-roll
printer. The PressVu® UV 180/600 EC is the only superwide digital inkjet
printer available today, that offers eight-color capability with 600 dpi
resolution for both rigid and flexible substrates, and now features a higher
production mode with speeds up to 1000 square feet/hour (94 square meters
per hour) for longer distance viewed applications. The UltraVu® 3360 EC
eight color, three-meter printer offers unmatched print speed, quality and
versatility compared with other printers in its class.
