New AutoUpdate Application Keeps Onyx Workflow 6.0 System Running its Best

MIDVALE, UT -- Onyx Graphics announces the immediate availability of Onyx AutoUpdate software, a free companion application to Onyx Graphics Workflow Software version 6.0. Onyx AutoUpdate checks the installed version 6.0 software settings and automatically downloads any needed updates. It is available now for immediate download from the Onyx Graphics web site at http://www.onyxgfx.com.

Onyx AutoUpdate is a separate application program that works with select Onyx Graphics Workflow V6.0 programs including Onyx ProductionHouse™, Onyx PosterShop®, Onyx RIPCenter™, and Onyx ProofCenter™ software. This innovative new utility provides end users with instant access to new features and software updates. While other RIP software companies provide updates on an occasional release schedule, Onyx Graphics customers can take immediate advantage of new features as soon as they are available.

The easy-to-use interface displays details about the update, including which updates are available. Onyx AutoUpdate software updates both Onyx V6.0 software and printer drivers. It can be set up to perform updates automatically on a user-defined schedule, either online or offline. Only the updates needed by a specific application are downloaded and performed, and users can roll-back an update if one is not desired.

The following new features are currently available:

• Program updates that increase processing (RIP) speed by 10 to 15 percent
• Certified TR004 SWOP input ICC profile
• Updates PostScript®/PDF RIP with full PDF-X support, support for PDF embedded ICC profiles and additional program enhancements
