VUTEk® Promotes Kevin Sykes to VP of Worldwide Sales

VUTEk® Inc., recognized as the world's leading supplier of superwide format digital inkjet printers, recently appointed Kevin Sykes to Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

Larry Greene, CEO at VUTEk®, said, "Kevin was a natural choice for the position. His wealth of experience at building and motivating high-performing sales teams will undoubtedly allow VUTEk® to capture new business in emerging markets worldwide."

Sykes was previously the National Sales Director, North America for VUTEk®. He quickly assumed responsibility for the South American market as well. The Americas ranked number one in sales at the end of 2003.

Prior to joining VUTEk®, Sykes was the Regional Sales Director for Adobe Systems Incorporated of both their Southern and Central Regions based in Atlanta, GA. He also served as Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Compaq Computer Corporation, responsible for revenue generation, sales strategy development and management of a $110 million information technology services business. In 1999, Sykes ranked number one at Compaq in North America for commercial sales.

Prior to Compaq, Sykes held management positions with Eastman Kodak's Business Imaging Systems Division, including Director of Sales and Director of Worldwide Marketing, Computer Output Systems. During his tenure at Kodak, Sykes was honored as one of America's 100 Best and Brightest by Dollars and Sense magazine.

Sykes completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a minor in Spanish. He also attended the Rice University Graduate School Executive Management Program. He is a former board member of the Volunteers of America (Rochester, NY), Indianapolis Zoo, Lawrence Township Foundation and Saint Florian Center (Indianapolis, IN), and the Habitat for Humanity North Fulton (Alpharetta, GA). He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the I Have a Dream Foundation in Atlanta.
