SGIA Imaging Symposium to Launch Near Brussels, Focus on European Markets, Challenges, Future
Amsterdam -- With an eye toward keeping European imaging professionals well-informed, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association will offer its first SGIA European Imaging Symposium in Zaventem, Belgium (near Brussels) 9-11 September 2004.
"Ever-changing markets, emerging technologies and environmental regulations affect printers and sign makers every day. The SGIA Imaging Symposium series will bring in leading European experts to address these issues," said SGIA President Michael Robertson.
The symposium series is at the center of SGIA's outreach to imaging professionals in Europe. It will combine networking, manufacturers' open houses and educational sessions focusing on issues important to European printers and sign makers.
The September agenda includes networking opportunities, tours of nearby VUTEk and Thieme/Agfa facilities, and talks about the marketplace, Certified PDF, color management, environmental impacts and EU regulations. For details on the many lectures and demonstrations, visit http://www.sgia.org/brussels/programme.cfm.
"When they leave, our participants will have a clear vision of the direction in the technologies they use and the markets they serve are headed. They'll have heard about the latest technological advances - from leading manufacturers. This information will give them a distinct advantage in the marketplace, and it's the type of information that SGIA excels in supplying," said Robertson.
