City Officials In Toronto Applauded For Safety And Commerce In Electronic Signage Network Initiatives
Ancaster, Ont. -- Automated Digital Signage Networks, Inc. (ADSN) applauded City officials in Toronto and other USA cities for their use of electronic signage networks for the "dual use" of public safety and commerce. ADSN’s Dynamic Image Provisioning Application make electronic signage networks powerful communications devises and extremely cost effective.
A signage network pilot project was recently approved in Toronto, Canada. This network could model the use of other dual-use Electronic Signage Networks, which improve public information and safety, while contributing to commercial and tourism success through dynamic display.
"Electronic Signage Networks offers a non-tax revenue source to municipalities while providing a new level of public safety, information and support for commerce" said Antoniette Zarcone, Vice President of ADSN. She added, "City of Toronto officials are to be applauded for proceeding with a pilot project that can demonstrate the value of municipal electronic signage".
Electronic signage networks have been installed or are well advanced in planning stages in New York, Chicago and other major centers. The most advanced of these networks, controlled by ADSN’s software are "dual use" for public safety and commerce. Individual displays or groups of displays can provide messages in response to various sensors, that can be securely over-ridden for public safety and site specific messaging, with the capability of providing assistance for emergency personnel with advance entry information.
"Visual display at the point of decision is a powerful influential tool for retail, tourism and other commerce" said Antoniette Zarcone, adding "and it is equally powerful in providing safety, alert, travel and other information at place and time of need and relevance."
In applauding the City of Toronto for its pilot signage project, ADSN called on advertising agencies, promotional media buyers, businesses and public organizations to build its understanding of the value of electronic signage as a communications medium.
