“In 2004, SGIA members in 40 countries (including the United States) who collectively represent 4,795 years of continuous membership received awards of appreciation,” reports Vice President of Membership and Marketing Sondra Fry Benoudiz.

One hundred and forty-eight (148) companies maintaining five consecutive years of membership received SGIA’s “Omni” Award this year, while sixty-six (66) companies joining SGIA in 1995 received “Continuity” Awards for their ten years of continuous membership. Forty-seven (47) companies that joined the Association in 1990 received “Spectrum” Awards denoting 15 uninterrupted years with SGIA, and thirty-seven (37) companies that joined in 1985 were honored with special awards designating their twenty years of SGIA membership.

Thirty-four (34) companies with 25 years … ten companies with 30 years … seven companies with 35 years … three companies with 40 years … and two companies with 45 years of continuous SGIA membership were also recognized with awards.

Two companies celebrating their 50 years of continuous membership will receive an Excalibur Award, and the Association is especially proud to recognize four companies celebrating their 55 years of continuous membership with its special Milestone Award.

Of those companies being recognized for their continuous membership in SGIA this year, 234 are located in the USA while 126 are from abroad. The majority of awards going to USA firms this year are located in California (28) and Ohio (19). Internationally, countries with the most SGIA members being recognized in 2004 include China (36), Canada (24), Japan (11), and India (6).
