SGIA Elects Its 2005 Board of Directors

Minneapolis—Kerry Gillespie of Gillespie Graphics in Wilsonville, OR, has been named Chairman of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s 2005 Board of Directors.

Announcement of SGIA’s 2005 executive roster was made at the Association's 56th Annual Convention and Exposition, held October 6-9 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Joining Gillespie as officers on the Association’s 2005 Board of Directors are First Vice Chairman David Van Veldhuizen (The Mitographers, Inc.; Sioux Falls, SD), Second Vice Chairman Scott McLean (Decals Inc.; Wheat Ridge, CO), Associate Vice Chairman James Gill (Spectra, Inc.; Gilford, NH), Treasurer Larry Kleiboeker (Universal Graphics; Kansas City, MO), and Secretary Kent Yunker (Yunker Industries; Lake Geneva, WI).

Printers elected to fill the three available three-year terms on the Association’s Board of Directors are: Tim Markley (Markley Enterprise; Elkhart, IN), Carl Baldwin (Falcon Graphics; Arlington, TX) and Eric Henry (T S Designs, Inc.; Burlington, NC). Jane Cedrone (VUTEk; Meredith, NH)) has been elected to a three-year term on SGIA’s Board representing the Association’s supplier members.

Representing SGIA printer members for their remaining two-year terms as Directors are: Lynn Krinsky (Stella Color; Seattle, WA) and C. Y. Lee (C Y International Co. Ltd.; Seoul, South Korea).

Representing industry suppliers, Scott Fresener (US Screen Printing Institute; Tempe, AZ) will complete the remainder of his two-year term.

Finishing their one-year terms for printers will be William Kujawa (Miller-Zell, Inc.; Atlanta, GA), and Michael Mockridge (Mockridge Labels & Nameplates Ltd.; Lancashire, England). Joe Shondel (Selecto-Flash, Inc.; West Orange, NJ) will fill the year remaining on the term of Ricardo Sunderland.

Associate (supplier) members completing the last year of their terms are David Eisenbeiss (KIWO Inc.; Seabrook, TX) and Norm Wolcott (Nor-Cote International; Crawfordsville, IN).

Also serving on SGIA’s 2005 Board will be Immediate Past Chairman Nick Maccaroni (Max Graphics; Berlin, NJ); Mike McDaniel (GM Nameplate Inc.; Seattle, WA) representing the Chairmens Advisory Council; Gordon Brown (New Vista Image; Golden, CO) representing the Digital Printing & Imaging Association; and SGIA President & CEO Michael Robertson.

All associations affiliated with SGIA through its National Association Member Plan have seats on the Board to which they, too, will name directors.

Founded in 1948, SGIA is Leading a New Generation of Imaging Professionals — “Specialty imaging” comprises digital imaging, screen printing and the many other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including those they’ll tap in the future. These are the imaging processes and technologies employed to create new products and to enhance existing products including point-of-purchase displays, signs, advertisements, garments, containers and vehicles.
