TIR Systems Receives Initial Purchase Order from Japan Distributor

TIR’s Solid State Lighting products gain traction in the Japanese corporate identity market Vancouver, BC - TIR Systems Ltd. (TSX Symbol: TIR), a world leader in light enabling technology, is pleased to announce that it has received an initial order, valued at $500,000 from its exclusive distribution partner in Japan, MBT Company Ltd., of Tokyo, Japan.

MBT Company Ltd., a premier provider of corporate signage in Japan, became TIR’s distribution partner in January 2004, and distributes TIR’s Solid State Lighting (SSL) products exclusively to the corporate identity markets in Japan. This order is for a combination of LightMarkTM and LightScriptTM, two of TIR’s corporate image lighting solutions.

LightMarkTM is TIR’s LED-based border tubing lighting solution providing a continuous line of illumination with significant energy and maintenance cost savings. LightScriptTM is the company’s channel letter solution and also has the inherent benefits of being LED-based.
