ASPT Cites Two Works as ‘Best in Show’ at SGIA ’04

FAIRFAX, VA - The prestigious Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT) has honored Group Athletica (Indianapolis, IN) and Shenzhen Stechol Ceramic Paper Co. (Shenzhen, Guangdong, China) by deeming their work “Best in Show” at SGIA ’04, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s 2004 Convention & Exposition, held in Minneapolis, MN, this October 6-9.

Group Athletica was named the ASPT/Golden Image Best of Show-Textiles for its “Stack It Knicks” t-shirt, while Shenzhen Stechol Ceramic Paper Co. was judged the ASPT/Golden Image Best of Show-Graphics for its “Emperor’s Robes” fine china plate.

To be eligible for these extraordinary awards, entries must, first, have received a Gold Award in their respective production category at the Golden Image Awards Competition held during SGIA ’04. All Gold Award entries were then evaluated by ASPT members based on their creativity and level of technical difficulty in execution.

ASPT members are selected by their peers as recognized screen printing authorities and chosen on the basis of their demonstrated ability and willingness to assist in improving the industry.
