GTS-ME implements Digital Signage Network at Abu Dhabi International Airport

Bangalore, India (January 18, 2005) ­ Macroworx Media Pvt Ltd today announced the implementation of a Digital Signage network by it’s partner, Global Technology Solutions (GTS) at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.

Abu Dhabi International Airport is a state-of-the-art airport located in the UAE capital, which serves over 5 million passengers a year. The Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has been voted ‘Best Duty Free in the Middle East’ for three years consecutively and consists of 29 branded shops and 64 branded corners.

A total of 35 plasma screens have been strategically placed in high-foot traffic areas of the Abu-Dhabi Duty free area. This includes several 50-inch Plasma Displays near the terminal gates, two 2 x 2 video walls near the Food Court and a large video wall of 3 meters by 2 meters in the central portion of the Duty Free shopping area.

A series of MacroMatrix Remote Players drive the plasma displays with advertising content, brand banners and public service messages. A local based FTP server with a high-speed data link to the GTS Network Operations Center (NOC) facilitates constant content updating, information dissemination and network monitoring on a 24 x 7 basis.
