2005 Industry Revenues Expected to Surpass 2004’s- SGIA’s Industry Confidence Index Ahead of US Consumer Confidence Index
FAIRFAX, VA - Industry confidence rose in the first quarter of 2005 to 75.6 (out of 100), reports the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association. While current business conditions seem to be a bit sluggish, revenues for this year are expected to exceed those of 2004.
Print markets with the highest confidence, SGIA’s Surveys & Statistics shows, are Manufacturing/OEM (81), Corporate Identity (79), Trade Printing (78), and Retail (75).
SGIA’s Confidence Index is a “running representation of how secure industry professionals are about the state of the industry,” explains Alan Anderson, the Association’s Vice President of Education & Management Services.
With no-cost participation open to all industry professionals, the index is computed from a series of questions about current business and business expectations.
SGIA collects and analyzes data at its Surveys & Statistics Web site online at SGIA.org. Survey participants can view cumulative results of a variety of timely surveys and receive top-line summary reports. SGIA members can also receive free, in-depth survey reports.
“Today’s savvy graphic imaging professionals use the latest market research and information to develop their business plans and take maximum advantage of tomorrow’s opportunities, while tapping into developing markets,” says Anderson. “This unique resource allows the specialty imaging community to predict where growth — and profits — will be next week … next month … or next year.”
SGIA’s Surveys & Statistics conducts a series of surveys throughout the year.
