New Distribution Agreement Expands Elsat Product Line with World’s First Full-Color Digital Ink Displays

Vienna, Austria - Elsat International today announced a distribution agreement with magink display technologies, Inc., developer of the world’s first full-color, commercially viable digital ink displays. Elsat will manage distribution in Austria as magink’s local representative as magink continues its global expansion with displays already installed throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Far East, North America and Latin America.

The challenge for digital display technologies is to bridge the gap between the huge demand to present digital information and the availability of affordable display technology. magink digital ink is a reflective technology that revolutionizes the way images and text are displayed. Based on patented organic materials and proprietary manufacturing processes, magink displays mimic the natural operation of the human eye by reflecting light — rather than absorbing it — to convey the rich spectrum of colors and shades that are discernible by the human eye. magink is the only digital display technology able to generate the entire visible color spectrum, including all gray scales.

The magink HR(tm) family of products, available in a variety of standard sizes as well as custom-sizes, are designed to meet the needs of the outdoor market for full-color, reflective, high-resolution, non-volatile displays. Featuring a 5mm pixel pitch, magink HR displays have a viewing distance of approximately 8 metres and are intended for use as outdoor billboards, road signage and other similar display needs.
