Scitex Vision America Appoints Alpha Imaging Technologies As First US Dealer

Netanya, Israel - Scitex Vision America, Inc., has appointed Alpha Imaging Technologies, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts, as its first US dealer serving a territory that includes the states of Connecticut, Maine, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

“This is the first of what is expected to be a be a series of dealer appointments in the US that will allow us to provide a higher level of service and responsiveness for existing customers while making our products available to many additional screen, sign, POP and display printers,” said David Bartram, marketing manager, Scitex Vision America. “We will be strengthening our partnership with customers and providing them with better service and faster turnaround through local stocking of parts and ink.”

Scitex Vision equipment supplied through Alpha Imaging Technologies will allow growing digital imaging companies that currently use smaller equipment to move up to three-meter, industrial inkjet printers running solvent-based inks. Scitex Vision’s XLjet+ and GOjet roll-to-roll digital printers can be used to print vehicle wraps, indoor and outdoor signs and banners, billboards, window graphics and building wraps on a wide range of substrates.

Alpha Imaging Technologies was founded in 1989 and has tripled in size since 2001, growing with the wide- and super-wide format digital imaging market in the Northeast. The company has focused on providing customers with single source, total solutions that include equipment and supplies, as well as sales, technical and service support from highly qualified personnel.

“Our mission is making our customers successful,” said Jim Mertes, president of Alpha Imaging Technologies. “There has been a convergence in the digital printing market over the past few years with sign shops, service bureaus, photo labs and commercial printing shops entering the wide format arena and acquiring more and larger output devices as their businesses grow. These new product lines from Scitex Vision position us to proactively meet our customers’ current and future needs with advanced, versatile, high-productivity printers.”

Alpha Imaging Technologies, Inc., operates from offices in Boston and New York City and has annual sales exceeding $10 million. In addition to Scitex Vision, Alpha Imaging Technologies represents a wide range of equipment and media companies including: Avery, Colorspan, Doctor Graphix, GBC, Gilman, HP, Ilford, IntelliCoat, Mitsubishi, Mutoh, Neschen, Oce, Onyx, Oracal, Roland, Sihl, US Sublimation, and Xerox.
