Fiber Optic Starfield From Fiberoptic Lighting, Inc. Brings The Night Sky Indoors

Fiberoptic Lighting, Inc. of Grants Pass, OR, designers and fabricators of imaginative fiber optic lighting, displays and signs for nearly two decades, now has a Fiber Optic Starfield that brings the night sky indoors for themed environments, tradeshow and special events, restaurants, hotels, clubs, resorts, museums, displays, high end home theatres, and additional applications as vast as one's imagination.

The fiber optic Starfield pictured is a portion of the ceiling of the new top floor restaurant at the Meridien Hotel of Cairo, Egypt. The hotel required 70 panels, each 7 feet long, to create a circular ring when installed edge to edge. Each panel has a Starfield with galactic effects and an additional enhancement of fireworks. The fireworks are on separate circuits and can be turned on or off. Pictured is an image, which is a composite of six digital images taken of one of the panels as it went through its celestial program of light, color and movement.

The Starfield pictured has two light sources per panel. Overall 140 light sources create the fiber optic effects. Energy requirements are less than 75 amps.

According to a Fiberoptic Lighting spokesperson, "Our fiber optic Starfield adds atmosphere wherever it is used. Thanks to our talented and creative staff and state-of-the-art technology, we are in a position to create variations of the fiber optic Starfield for a wide range of uses. It was most recently designed for a high end home theatre."
