BTV+ Lyle Bunn Named To Chair Education Committee Of POPAI Digital Signage Group
POPAI Launches Group to Advance Digital Signage Lyle Bunn of BTV+ to Chair Education Committee
Chicago, IL - Lyle Bunn of BTV+ has been named to Chair the Education Committee of the newly formed Digital Signage Group of POPAI. A primary element in advancing the application of digital signage is in the education of digital display providers and users in the benefits and application of this fast emerging communications tool.
The POPAI Digital Signage Group was announced March 21, 2005 to promote the adoption of dynamic digital signage, technologies and applications. The Digital Signage Group will provide industry information, profiles of proven solutions, market research and education to demonstrate the ability of digital signage solutions to inform, educate and influence. POPAI is an industry-based association so the group is inclusive to Advertising Agencies, Brands, Retailers, and the Producers and Suppliers of retail marketing tools.
Joe Finizio, VP Member Services of POPAI said “i.e. Education is the key to advancing the application of any new capability, and we are pleased that digital signage can be advanced through Lyle Bunn’s perspectives”. Mr Bunn will also sit on the Strategic Planning Committee of the working group which will set directions related to Industry Standards, Advocacy and Promotion, and Research.
Lyle Bunn has written numerous white-papers and articles, and presented regularly on the benefits, application and advances of digital signage, and is Director, Digital Display & Rich Media of BTV+, which provides business-class, content delivery networks. He has assisted in the development of technology, industry, trade and economic development policy at four levels of Government and internationally, and has contributed to new technology industry development through industry and professional organizations, government and media. He has served as lead architect of several successful sector development initiatives.
While this new group is organized as part of the POPAI structure and will focus on issues specific to dynamic digital signage and in-store networks, the leverage and lessons of retail display for branding, staff development, public information and homeland security is expected to be advanced as well.
