CEELITE OFFERS USERS FLATLINE INVERTERS, THE FIRST IN THE INDUSTRY TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF BRIGHTNESS OVER PANEL LIFETIME

TS2 SHOW: CEELITE BOOTH # 623

Inverter Delivers New Standards of Brightness, Life and Controllability

Washington, D.C. (July 12-13, 2005) - At the TS2 show, lighting pioneer CeeLiteTM unveiled a new line of Flatline Inverters that deliver new standards of brightness and life to its innovative light emitting capacitor (LEC) technology. The new inverters maintain the impact and integrity of surface illumination better than any other backlit lighting technology, offering new lighting opportunities to trade show exhibitors.

The unique CeeLite Flatline Inverter design is superior in managing the illumination characteristics of the flat, flexible lightbulb and provides noise-free, high power efficiency.

The inverter also features such friendly functions as programmability for panel brightness, motion and photo sensing, and dimming, fading and flash capabilities.

Typical EL inverters operate on a half life curve, in which the brightness of the phosphor declines as soon as the panel is powered on and substantially dulls over the course of the panel. Detectable to the human eye, this deterioration compromises illumination and requires a new panel well before the end of panel life to maintain impact to the consumer.

“Traditional backlit technologies lose messaging impact substantially over the life of the panel, due to a loss in brightness that occurs continuously as soon as the system is powered on,” said Malcolm Hayward, CEO of CeeLite. “Our Flatline Inverters ensure constant brightness levels and extended messaging impact over the life of the panels without the drawback of deteriorating illumination.”

Additionally, CeeLite panels can now be controlled by DMX Protocol to create full scale, interactive lightshows typically experienced at concerts and nightclubs. These DMX controllers will work with all CeeLite applications from simple signage to large format wall and floor systems. DMX Protocol allows for audio activation and interactivity, with 11,988 different programming steps available.

Available in August 2005, CeeLite Flatline Inverters will power CeeLite panels sized from 8.5” x 11” to 3’ x 6’ for U.S. applications and A6 to BO for global applications 4’ x 8’ panels will also be available in the future.

All Flatline Inverters are available for AC input power applications. They meet all regulatory requirements, including UL, FCC, CE and cUL.

About CeeLite
Headquartered in Lansdale, PA, CeeLite is the world’s first commercial manufacturer of Light Emitting Capacitor (LEC) technology that is destined to revolutionize the way light is being used across industries. CeeLite creates new markets where lighting was previously impossible in addition to replacing traditional backlit applications. The company’s LEC products are the result of major research and development engineering advancements with what started out as electroluminescence (EL). Our first product to market was the flat, flexible lightbulb which ranges in size up to 4’ x 8’. Typical applications include: signage, trade show exhibits, architectural design, point of purchase and photography. For additional information, please visit the CeeLite web site at www.ceelite.com.
