BTV+ Satellite Bandwidth Increases Profitability and Reduces Cost of Scala Digital Signage Networks

Mississauga, ON BTV+ (www.btvplus.com) recognized as a premier provider of IP Satellite bandwidth and network operations for Digital Signage and interactive Distance Learning systems, today announced the integration of its secure, highly cost effective satellite connectivity with Scala’s InfoChannel® software. Scala (www.scala.com) recognized as the world’s leading software platform for digital signage.

BTV+ satellite connectivity increases the profitability and value of digital signage networks that use Scala software by significantly reducing network deployment and operating costs. Point-to- multipoint Internet Protocol (IP) satellite bandwidth from BTV+ means that network owners require only one Internet Service Provider (BTV+) to install and operate connectivity at any location across North America including Alaska, Hawaii, USA, Canada and Mexico.

Signage network owners when integrating a BTV+ virtual private network with Scala’s InfoChannel® software do not need to undertake any network deployment or ongoing network management themselves. BTV+ handles all network elements. A single, low monthly bill for connectivity to all network locations, typically less than $115 per location per month based on 100 locations, further reduces administrative costs.

“The high levels of security, reliability, rapid installation and ease of scalability inherent in BTV+ satellite connectivity, are an excellent compliment to digital signage networks that use Scala’s InfoChannel®” said Larry Steinman, CEO of BTV+. He added, “additional benefit and value are realized by leveraging the digital signage network for interactive distance learning”

BTV+ Internet Protocol (IP) satellite bandwidth enables reliable, secure transport of content and playlists to all network locations simultaneously. Scala’s InfoChannel® software allows a network owner or manager to create, schedule, manage, distribute and dynamically play back unique content to one or thousands of displays from a single desktop. Scala’s InfoChannel® Designer 3 authoring tool enables the creation of compelling dynamic content to inform, educate and influence. News feeds and other subscribed services are easily integrated into Scala content.

Jeffrey Porter, executive vice president of Scala said “We are pleased to be partnering with BTV+ and opening the technology door to businesses of all sizes that require scalable and reliable digital signage networks. We look forward to working with BTV+ in lowering the barrier of entry into satellite-based digital signage solutions.”
