Roland Unveils Roland@NET Online Software Update Service

Irvine, CA - Roland DGA Corp., a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and integrated printer/cutters, has unveiled Roland@NET, a new online automated software update service available to users of the company’s VersaWorks™ RIP software.

Included with Roland VersaWorks, Roland@NET performs periodic software updates over a direct Internet connection to any computer equipped with the company’s VersaWorks RIP software. In addition to ensuring that VersaWorks users have the latest software updates, Roland@NET’s Auto Update feature can be set up to automatically download Roland’s newest media profiles.

VersaWorks
Roland@NET is just one of the many benefits offered to users of Roland’s VersaWorks RIP software. Bundled with every VersaCAMM® and SOLJET™ inkjet printer and integrated printer/cutter, VersaWorks was written by Roland engineers as an optimized RIP solution specifically for the company’s inkjet technology. The VersaWorks software RIP enables superior print quality while eliminating the need for extensive training.

Built upon the genuine Adobe® PostScript® CPSI™ RIP engine, VersaWorks features an efficient graphical user interface that allows users to easily import files from their favorite program. Key features include layout, color editing and print functions including nesting, tiling and auto/manual-layout. Additionally, users can preview jobs on screen and use two job queues for handling different print conditions. VersaWorks is compatible with Windows 2000/XP.
