New Accu-Print High-Tech Flatbed Press Offers Patented Computer Controlled Stroke Length Adjustment
Chicago - AWT World Trade, Inc. a Chicago based manufacturer of screen printing equipment and supplies has introduced the Accu-Print High-Tech series, a new line of mid-sized semi-automatic screen printing presses. Leading off High-Tech's formidable line-up of enhanced technology features is AWT's proprietary computerized stroke adjustment system (patent pending). This microprocessor controlled feature allows the operator to set stroke length up front at the main control panel, minimizing wasted motion during set-up.
The High-Tech press is also equipped with an ink recovery feature, which shifts the squeegee behind the rear stroke limit on command, permitting ink pick-up in the screen well. According to the company, the AWT design maximizes ink usage and operator productivity. For remote diagnostics the new standard fully integrated phone modem feature assures fast and easy electronic servicing. This unique modem connects the press to A.W.T.'s Chicago Diagnostic Center with just a quick phone call.
Other standard features combine to assure maximum control of print quality. For adapting to UV curable or solvent inks, the Hi-Tech carriage may be stopped in the flood or non-flood position between strokes. A pneumatic equalizing system automatically levels squeegee and flood bar pressure during the print stroke, while initial squeegee pressure is quickly set without tools. The "O" off-contact capability of the High-Tech is designed to accommodate today's high-tension screens; off-contact dimension and peel rate settings are likewise easy and accessible. The universal masterframe with four corer bearing lock-in provides repeatable registration and may be released from the printing head for set-up. A.W.T.'s exclusive quiet vacuum motor is brushless, spark free, and maintenance free. Separate drives for head lift and print stroke provide double muscle for a smooth consistent stroke, while independent squeegee/flood bar speed settings assure superior prints. The heavy duty, 2" thick vacuum table offers a height adjustment up to 1” for printing thicker substrates. Fully backed by A.W.T. World Trade experience and technology, the new press line is built to last.
