Best Sign Systems, Inc. Expands Product Lines with acquisition of Courtesy Sign Co.
Best Sign Systems, Inc. (Best), Montrose, Colorado announced today that they have completed the acquisition of Courtesy Sign Co., Inc. of Amarillo, Texas. Best is a nationally recognized manufacturer of custom architectural signage who has experienced significant growth over the past several years. This acquisition further expands Best’s markets and product lines and provides a more complete sign solution to the company’s customer base.
Best was founded in 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri. The company is well known for its exclusive Graphic Blast® engraving process. In addition to architectural, industrial and commercial signage, Best is an industry leader in manufacturing tactile and Braille signage conforming to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Best has installed products in various public institutions throughout the county including schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, and other public establishments.

Courtesy Sign Co, founded in 1972, is well-known in the Texas Panhandle for specialty screen-printed signage for safety, industrial and traffic applications supporting chemical, oil and gas (pipelines) and other industrial facilities. Courtesy’s powder-coated signs provide a superior quality sign product. These powder-coating capabilities extend to other industries including automotive and aviation.
Courtesy will change its name to Courtesy Sign Solutions, Ltd. (Courtesy), and will continue to operate out of its current facility. The combined operations of Best and Courtesy will employ approximately 60 people in both facilities.
