SGIA Elects 2006 Board of Directors: David Van Veldhuizen Named Chairman

David Van Veldhuizen of The Mitographers Inc., in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been named Chairman of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s 2006 Board of Directors.

Joining Van Veldhuizen as officers on the Association’s 2006 Board of Directors are First Vice Chairman Scott McLean (DI Graphics; Wheat Ridge, CO), Second Vice Chairman Kent Yunker (Yunker Industries; Lake Geneva, WI), Third Vice Chairman Carl Baldwin (Falcon Graphics Inc; Arlington, TX), Associate Vice Chairman James Gill (Spectra, Inc.; Gilford, NH), Treasurer Larry Kleiboeker (Universal Graphics; Kansas City, MO), and Secretary Joe Shondel (Selecto-Flash Inc; West Orange, NJ).

Printers newly elected to fill the two available three-year terms on the Association’s Board of Directors are: Hoddy Peck (Meisel; Dallas, TX), and Mike Emrich (Meto-Grafics Inc; Cary, IL). Mike Mockridge (Mockridge Labels and Nameplates; Lancashire, England) and Pete Gallo (Vista Color Lab Inc; Cleveland, OH) were re-nominated for three-year terms.

Peter Herman (Thieme Corporation; St. Charles, IL) has been newly elected to a three-year term on SGIA’s Board representing the Association’s supplier members and Jeff Notto (3M Commercial Graphics Division; Saint Paul, MN) was re-nominated.

In the second year of their three-year terms are: Jane Cedrone (VUTEk Inc; Meredith NH), Scott Fisher (Fisher Textile; Indian Trail, NC), Eric Henry (T S Designs Inc; Burlington, NC), and Tim Markley (Markley Enterprise; Elkhart, IN).

In the last year of their two-year terms are: Lynn Krinsky (Stella Color; Seattle, WA), Scott Fresener (US Screen Print and Inkjet Technology; Tempe, AZ), and C. Y. Lee (C Y International Co. Ltd.; Seoul, South Korea).

Representing industry suppliers, Scott Fresener (US Screen Print and Inkjet Technology; Tempe, AZ) will complete the remainder of his two-year term.

Also serving on SGIA’s 2006 Board will be Immediate Past Chairman Kerry Gillespie (Gillespie Graphics; Wilsonville, OR); Nick Maccaroni (Max Graphics; Berlin, NJ) representing the Chairman’s Advisory Council; Gordon Brown (New Vista Image; Golden, CO) representing the Digital Printing & Imaging Association; and SGIA President & CEO Michael Robertson.

All associations affiliated with SGIA through its National Association Member Plan have seats on the Board to which they, too, will name directors.
