New LED Technology to be Unveiled by Anything Display at Sign Conference
NASHUA, NH - The exhibit hall at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey is going to be a lot brighter during the U.S. Sign Council (USSC) trade show, being held from December 1-3, 2005.
Anything Display, an online distributor of print and display products, will be featuring 12 LED signs, including two massive wall displays. One wall sign is a 10’ x 24’ state-of-the-art LED product imported from South Korea for the show. The other focal point display will be an 8’ by 10’ curved LED sign created using a technology that has never been available in North America.
The curved sign uses a rod-type full-color display module patented by Comtel Sign Co., Ltd. of Korea. The innovation earned Comtel an award for the best patent of the year from the Korean government in 2005.
Comtel is part of a Korean LED sign consortium that has contracted with New Hampshire-based Anything Display and Kansas-based Tiger Moon to distribute its products. Anything Display is the distributor for Comtel in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and holds the world-wide marketing rights for the revolutionary module that makes curved LED displays possible.
Other members of the South Korean consortium include Vissem, the largest LED sign manufacturer in the world; Veritas, a pioneer in the LED field best known for engineering, designing and installing the famous Freemont Street LED display in Las Vegas; and Ledlitek, a leading manufacturer of LED lighting equipment. The companies formed AMS in Korea to market their products and services worldwide.
Top executives of the consortium will be at Anything Display’s booth, 413 in the USSC trade show. The South Korean delegation includes Mr. Woo-seok Ghong, CTO of Veritas Co.,LTD.; Mr. Hank Hang Song, CEO of Lightec Korea CO., LTD.; Mr. Jeffery Hanh, CEO of AMS, Inc.; Mr. David Choi, International Director of Comtel CO., LTD.; and Mr. Teak Hyon Kim, Manager of Vissem Electronics Co., LTD.
Steve Stanfill, President of Tiger Moon LED, Inc. and Donald Overman, CEO of Anything Display, d/b/a of Business 2 Business 2 Business, LLC, formed a joint venture to bring a complete product line of Korean LED products to North America.
According to Stanfill, the line will include one-, two- and full-nature color indoor and outdoor displays in any size starting at 8” by 24”. “With our complete range of products, including design and engineering through Veritas, Accent lighting by LEDlitek, and displays by Comtel and Vissem, we can offer billboard and spectaculars as never before dreamt possible,” Stanfill comments. As an example of the amazing effects possible with LED signs, he points to Freemont St. in Las Vegas, which was a joint project of Vissem and Veritas.
Overman, who handles the marketing and sales capabilities of Anything Display, says that his company’s ability to market successfully on the Internet and its commitment to high standards helped it to earn the distributorship rights for the Korean LED products. “We have a straightforward and very successful—strategy,” he comments. “We offer top quality products at the lowest possible prices. Comtel’s products allows for a turn-key operation that lets users adjust signs using a remote, and our warranty by far the best in the industry—assures client and installer alike hassle-free, fast turn-around for one full year.”
Technological innovations in dynamic digital signage, including LED, have led to a surge in popularity. By 2010, the digital retail signage portion of the market alone is projected to reach $2.07 billion, according to iSuppli/Stanford Resources, a leading market and technology research firm.
