INTELICOAT MAGIC® FAB-6 MEDIA Helps Mimaki Win Top Honors in the 2005 DPI Product of the Year Competition

SOUTH HADLEY, MA -­ InteliCoat Technologies®, a world leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for imaging and electronic technologies, today announced that Mimaki’s JV22-160 received top honors in the 2005 Digital Printing & Imaging Association (DPI) Product of the Year Award “Fabric Print” category with an image printed on Magic® FAB-6 indoor/outdoor fabric banner. The honor was announced during the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Digital Expo in Phoenix, AZ from December 8-10, 2005.

Magic FAB-6 is a 6.8 mil, 100% polyester-woven fabric ideal for producing flags, displays, window decorations, pop-up displays and window backlits. Its unique ink jet coating provides compatibility with a wide variety of thermal and water-based piezo printer systems.

The 2005 DPI Product of the Year Award is not the first time that Magic FAB-6 has helped Mimaki achieve top honors. Mimaki’s JV22-160 printer also received the 2004 DPI Product of the Year Award in the fabric print category with an image printed on Magic FAB-6 fabric banner.
