SGIA Adds Thermal Image Setter to Digital Imaging Lab
OYO Instruments LP latest company to donate to lab
Fairfax, Virginia -- In its quest to keep the specialty imaging industry updated about the latest technologies, SGIA, with the help of supplier members, has established a Digital Imaging Lab.
The list of donor companies includes OYO Instruments LP, GretagMacbeth LLC, Kodak Graphic Communications Group, Mimaki USA Inc., Matan Digital Printers Ltd. and US Screen Print & Inkjet Technology.
The lab, an integral part of the SGIA Information Network, offers a platform for investigating workplace and productivity issues and an avenue for imagers to learn new techniques in an unbiased, hands-on environment.
"The SGIA Digital Imaging Lab represents our commitment to helping members succeed in a rapidly changing marketplace," said SGIA President/CEO Michael Robertson.
The facility will debut with a workshop on "Color Management for Specialty Printing" (May 3-5, 2006). This event will give students insight into color management. Experts will tackle subjects like color matching, color behavior management, color management software and the latest industry lingo.
The next seminar will be an "Intro to Digital" (June 29-30, 2006).
Registration and details can be found at SGIA.org. Or call 888.385.3588.
