encourages its printer members to brainstorm about which crowning achievements they want to submit in our Golden Image and André Schellenberg Award competitions.
"Participating in SGIA's competitions is a great way for printers to compare their abilities to others in the industry and get employees more involved," said SGIA President/CEO Michael Robertson.
These long-standing competitions spotlight superb prints that are leading the industry and are open to all SGIA printer members. SGIA will display all of the entries on site during SGIA '06 (Las Vegas Convention Center, September 2629, 2006). With approximately 40 categories, the Golden Image Awards allow you to enter almost any kind of product — regardless of its market niche or process complexity. The André Schellenberg Award, which focuses on digital imaging, offers five categories. Entrants automatically are entered for the "Best in Show" awards for both competitions. Membrane switch and printed electronics will be judged and awarded at the Membrane Switch Symposium (Indianapolis, June 1314, 2006). Those entries will be displayed again at SGIA '06.
Winning companies gain industry-wide recognition. "The marketing benefits of winning an award are off the charts," Robertson said.
SGIA members are entitled to one free entry for the competitions. Additional entries cost $20 each. Entry forms and any payments must arrive at SGIA no later than midnight EST on Monday, August 21, 2006. International participants must have their forms and payments arrive no later than midnight EST on Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Samples must be sent only to the SGIA depository in Las Vegas by Tuesday, September 19, 2006.
