ANC Sports Installs AT&T Park SMARTVISION® LED Fascia System
Through a Multi-Year Agreement ANC Will Supply All Graphic Content and Operate the LED Display with the Company’s New VisionSOFT Control System
Purchase, New York - Fans hoping to witness history as Barry Bonds pursues Hank Aaron's homerun record will be treated to a new, dynamic fascia display system at AT&T Park in San Francisco during the 2006 Major League Baseball season.
ANC Sports Enterprises today announced a multi-year agreement with the San Francisco Giants to supply and control a state-of-art SMARTVISION® light emitting diode (LED) fascia system at AT&T Park.
ANC's 25mm SMARTVISION® display will animate over 450 feet of AT&T Park's lower level fascia, replacing the first and third base fascia rotational signage. The 45-inch high signage system contains a 170-degree viewing angle, providing real-time statistics, advertising messages and in-game animations to the entire ballpark.
ANC will operate the fascia LED display with the first Major League Baseball installation of its new VisionSOFT software, which will receive real-time statistics from ANC's Data Interface Solution (DIS). VisionSOFT is the first 3D interface capable of managing multiple instantaneous media streams for every scoreboard, digital advertising screen, concession stand or any technology in the ballpark. Additionally, ANC Design, ANC's in-house design division, will develop and coordinate all the graphics and statistical templates to be displayed on the fascia signage system for the Giants and their advertisers.
The LED fascia expands ANC's presence in AT&T Park, where ANC has been the exclusive rotational signage provider since 2000. The San Francisco Giants will continue to feature ANC's rotational signage behind home plate.
"ANC Sports has provided an exceptional product with premium service for the past six seasons, and we believe capitalizing on ANC's additional technology will provide our fans with the best in-game experience," said Larry Baer, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the San Francisco Giants.
In addition to ANC's LED fascia system, the San Francisco Giants have completed several other technology advancements at AT&T Park for the 2006 season. The new features include flat-panel displays that will deliver Giants' broadcasts in Hi-Definition, new customer-facing contactless point-of-sale terminals to speed up concession transactions, and new wireless ticket scanners and print-at-home tickets accepted at all gates to help fans enter the ballpark faster.
"We are excited to join the San Francisco Giants' efforts in enhancing live events at AT&T Park," said Jerry Cifarelli, president of ANC Sports Enterprises. "We look forward to creating new and innovative revenue opportunities through our LED and rotational signage, as well as expanding our relationship with the Giants into additional advertising mediums."
The agreement secures ANC's presence in 15 Major League Baseball stadiums for the 2006 season. In addition to the Giants, ANC Sports roster of MLB partners includes the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, and Washington Nationals.
