Wozny Reveals the Superwide Opportunity at SGIA ’06
Attendees will learn ways to profit from superwide-format printing
Fairfax, Virginia — With an expected growth of more than 10 percent each year through 2009, it’s not surprising that superwide digital printing will be on center stage at SGIA ’06 (Las Vegas, September 2629, 2006).
Complementing the Expo hall’s digital displays of the latest in superwide-format technology, SGIA ’06 has an educational session devoted to the basics on this promising technology, which generally prints sizes of 1.52 meters (60 inches) or larger.
“Introduction to Superwide Opportunity” (September 27 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm) will explore the benefits of greater productivity and lower running costs associated with superwide technology.
“Superwide isn’t just for big print shops,” said instructor Mike Wozny, VUTEk Product Marketing Manager for EFI (SGIA ’06 Platinum Sponsor Meredith, New Hampshire). “It’s a possibility that even small shops can explore,” he said.
Wozny, who entered the superwide-format business for EFI four years ago with a traditional print-shop background, will review common business models companies have used to successfully adopt superwide technologies into their operations. He’ll also go over alternative options print shops can take to enter superwide printing markets.
At the end of the session, attendees will come away a better idea of superwide format printing’s production capabilities, technology trends, markets and potential role in their operations.
“This is a great chance to learn about the opportunities this technology can bring to your business and the cool products it allows you to produce for your customers,” Wozny said.
