SGIA Packs 2007 with Educational Excellence -Association adds new workshops for textile printing and vehicle wraps
Fairfax, Virginia — 2007 is shaping up for non-stop workshop action from SGIA’s Digital Lab and Screen Printing Technical Foundation.
With 15 hands-on, unbiased seminars scheduled for the year, screen printers and digital imagers have access to a cornucopia of industry expertise.
“The expanded workshop schedule reflects SGIA’s position as a highly regarded resource for the specialty imaging community. Attendees get first-rate, hands-on instruction without having to spend much time away from their work,” said SGIA President/CEO Michael Robertson.
SPTF will introduce a new workshop in September that teaches the gamut of textile printing. The two-tiered “Textile Printing: Basic to Professional” (September 1721) covers preparing artwork, generating film, creating screens, working with plastisol inks and troubleshooting problems — all addressed to novices as well as experienced imagers within the course.
Other SPTF workshops:
- “Graphics Four-Color Process: Controlling the Variables” (February 1316, May 1518 and November 1316)
- “Screen Making: Basic to Professional” (April 1620, July 2327 and December 37)
- “Special Effects: Enhance Your Textile Print” (March 2223)
Also new: From the SGIA Digital Lab comes two opportunities to learn the ins and outs of vehicle wraps (SGIA headquarters; March 2930 and Irvine, California; May 2223).
Additional SGIA Digital Lab seminars:
- “Intro to Digital” (February 2627 and October 45)
- “Color Management” (May 34 and August 67)
- “Direct to Garment Digital” (June 2021)
