FASTSIGNS® Announces 2007-2008 National Advertising Council
Carrollton, Texas - FASTSIGNS International, Inc., an international franchisor of sign and graphic centers, has announced the roster of elected officials to its 2007-2008 National Advertising Council (NAC).
The six NAC board members are all FASTSIGNS® center owners who have been elected by other FASTSIGNS owners in a specific region to serve a two-year term. As a member of the Council, the representatives work with FASTSIGNS International, Inc. providing strategic direction for the development of marketing and advertising services, programs and materials that benefit the nearly 450 North American FASTSIGNS centers.
Two new members, Wade Palmer and Timm Godby, have been elected to the Council this year.
Wade Palmer, who represents the Western region, has owned his FASTSIGNS center in Studio City, Calif., for two-and-a-half years. Palmer used to work as a member of FASTSIGNS International’s headquarter staff and feels that this experience on the other side of the business has offered him the best knowledge and perspective of both worlds. Palmer says, “These experiences allow me to weigh the concepts that corporate creative develops against the real world situations we face on a day-to-day basis in building brand awareness.”
Palmer also serves on FASTSIGNS’ Franchise Advisory Committee (FAC), which is a 10-member group that helps provide strategic direction on services and programs and represents FASTSIGNS franchisees worldwide.
Timm Godby has owned his Casselberry, Fla., FASTSIGNS center for 13 years. When asked why he wanted to run for a place on the NAC, he replied, “After 13 years of experience within the FASTSIGNS system, it is now time to give back to the network.” Godby will represent the Southeastern region of FASTSIGNS owners.
The other NAC board members include Frank Kent of Burlington, Ontario, representing Canadian franchisees; Matt Metcalf of Englewood, Colo., representing owners in the Southwest; Shane Beard of Naperville, Ill., representing the Midwest region; and Bill Belmont of Lawrenceville, NJ, representing the Northeast.
"Every elected official to the NAC is fully committed to the FASTSIGNS network," said Drue Townsend, senior vice president of marketing for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. "They know the importance of a strong marketing program and are knowledgeable about a wide range of marketing concepts and how their decisions will make a profound impact on the other centers."
