Vertex Expands Full Line of Rivets, Makes Inventory Available Nationwide

Pawtucket, RI ­ Vertex Distribution, a master distributor of corrosion-resistant, standard-inch and metric fasteners, has expanded its full line of steel, aluminum and stainless steel rivets and stocked all nine of its facilities nationwide. Headquartered in Pawtucket, RI, Vertex has facilities in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Tampa. The expansion continues the distributor’s venture into class-c components, a move that began exactly a year ago. “The pairing of our blind rivet offerings with our more than 12,000 other standard-inch and metric products has proved extremely successful,” said Vertex President & COO Mark Alperin. “Our customers have experienced savings from combining their purchases into one transaction, one shipment. It just makes sense all around, and it saves on shipment time.” Vertex has also added a line of backup washers for its rivets.

Vertex Consolidates Houston Facilities to Improve Efficiency

Vertex has relocated its Houston operation to 3502 Yale Street. The larger facility combines Vertex’s inventory with the complete line of alloy steel metric fasteners from the former Allmetric Fasteners warehouse across town, which was purchased by Vertex owner, Watermill Group, last May. “The new facility has allowed us to redesign our operation for more efficiency,” said David Morgan, southwest regional manager for Vertex. “The extra space accommodates our combined inventory with Allmetric as well as the expanded rivet lines.
