FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Xaar presents innovative inkjet technology at FESPA 07

Xaar presents its piezoelectric inkjet technology and applications for the commercial printing and industrial markets on Booth D330 (Hall 4.2) at FESPA 2007 (Berlin) this week. The highlight of the display is Xaar's latest variable drop printhead, the Xaar 1001, which offers manufacturers of equipment considerable commercial advantage through outstanding quality, productivity, and reliability.

The company is the world's leading independent supplier of inkjet printheads and peripheral equipment to print and industrial markets and at Fespa over 20 companies are demonstrating Xaar-enabled products.

At the show, particular focus is given to the flagship Xaar 1001 and Xaar 760 printheads that are attracting developers and manufacturers of powerful inkjet solutions for a wide range of commercial printing and industrial market applications worldwide.

Designed for high-speed, single-pass applications, the Xaar 1001 printhead is based on Xaar's patented Hybrid Side-Shooter(tm) and TF Technology(tm). With dynamically variable drop sizes, this new printhead architecture combines advanced piezo technology with Xaar's patented 'through-flow' design. The Xaar 1001 delivers state of the art inkjet technology with impressive precision, a choice of selectable and variable drop sizes, self-priming and self-cleaning; superb repeatability; productivity and a long lifetime.

In addition, Xaar presents two heads that provide new levels of flexibility and performance and extend the successful Xaar 318 series designed for UV curable and oil based inks. The Xaar 318/CA4 head, an enhanced version delivering 16 variable drop sizes, makes its debut at Fespa; while the Xaar 318/CE2 combines 300dpi resolution with high output performance for both fixed and scanning applications.

Xaar's status this year as a 'Fespa Technology Partner' underlines the company's commitment to the development of expert components for imaging, product marking and industrial applications. In addition to seeing Xaar technology in action, visitors to FESPA will be able to learn where the future of inkjet lies. Mark Alexander, Xaar's Director of Marketing, examines The Past, Present and Future of Inkjet in a series of free educational seminars throughout the event (Hall 25:Tuesday June 5th: 12-1pm; Wednesday: 4-5pm; and Friday: 3-4pm, while Ian Dinwoodie, CEO of Xaar, takes part in the keynote Digital Debate on Thursday, 7th June at 1pm.
