GDS Introduces New Midas Outdoor Display with Enhanced Functionality

Global Display Solutions (GDS), market leader in the design and manufacture of industrial displays, announces the expansion of its MiDAS digital signage solution with the introduction of an option-based embedded PC and wireless connectivity for both its LCD MiDAS32” and MiDAS46” models. Designed to simplify the deployment of outdoor digital signage displays, the new options have been introduced in direct response to the growing demand for large screen outdoor LCD signage.

The new embedded PC and wireless connectivity mean that the MiDAS outdoor displays can be deployed in many more outdoor environments than ever before, thanks to the elimination of the need for cabling. The new GDS MiDAS displays integrate both the monitor and the PC within the same thermally-managed IP65 enclosure. The enclosure protects the system from harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, weather and pollution which can often cause connectivity problems.

The MiDAS large screen LCDs have been further enhanced with built-in technology including RJ45ethernet connectivity, configurable PC with optional hard drive, compact flash and either Wifi or GSM wireless connection. The new wireless capabilities of the MiDAS enable information and product content downloads without any input from other external sources.

The MiDAS range of outdoor digital signage is a proven technology, providing performance much sought after in the industry.
