Astrup Now Features Vivitex Line of Glen Raven Printable Fabrics

The Astrup Company now offers Vivitex™, Glen Raven’s line of printable fabrics. Specifically designed for use on solvent-based printers, the Vivitex line features five different weights and constructions for use in sign and banner applications. Vivitex is the new brand name for Glen Raven’s growing collection of inkjet printable fabrics ­ all available from Astrup.

Glen Raven's Vivitex fabrics feature white pigmented inkjet receptive coatings suitable for most solvent, eco-solvent and UV inkjet machines. Vivitex fabrics are ideal for indoor and outdoor applications and can be used to create banners, point of purchase displays, pennants, table drops, sales promotions and backdrops. Vivitex fabrics are woven in the U.S. by Glen Raven to ensure consistency and quality. All five fabrics offer excellent strength and dimensional stability and are available in 54- and 60-inch rolls. The full line of fabrics includes:

Poly Light White
A 3-ounce sheer fabric, Poly Light White is a matte polyester with a natural woven textile look. It resists fraying and is easy to cut and sew. It’s suitable for interior and short-term exterior applications such as banners and banner stands.

Poly Oxford White
Heavyweight Poly Oxford White is an 8-ounce oxford-weave polyester with a clear topcoat. Especially good for short-term outdoor use, it’s highly wrinkle-resistant and features good color depth.

FR Banner Lite
FR Banner Lite is a lightweight, fire retardant 4-ounce woven matte polyester that has been coated on both sides with a white pigmented inkjet-receptive finish. The textile is suitable for indoor and short-term outdoor use and features excellent depth of color.

FR Banner
The heavyweight, fire retardant FR Banner is a 9.6-ounce oxford-weave polyester fabric that is coated on both sides. Good for outdoor use, it offers excellent color depth, matte finish and ultrasonic slit edges.

Sunbrella Inkjet White
Sunbrella® Inkjet White is an inkjet version of Glen Raven’s popular solution-dyed acrylic fabric with a natural canvas look. Suitable for indoor and long-term outdoor use, the 10-ounce matte fabric is easy to cut and sew and is fray resistant.
