Magnetic Attractions Continues Growth: Adds 2nd digital press, tipping equipment, staff

Durham, N.C. -- Magnetic Attraction continues expanding its in-house capabilities to offer even greater capacity and faster turn-around on its printing, tipping and fulfillment services for magnetic promotional products and other direct marketing materials.

One of the first companies to offer magnetic promotions in four-color and digital offset printing, Magnetic Attractions recently purchased a second Hewlett Packard WS4500 digital press and an in-line tipping machine. The company also hired two new staffers to operate the equipment: Brian Dinsmore and Carlos Lage.

“The ongoing expansion of our in-house services ensures that we have ultimate control to deliver a top-level product on a reliable schedule. Our customers count on us to carry this commitment through from 24-hour turnaround on most quotes, to individualized attention during the ordering and production process, to the final shipment,” says Magnetic Attractions’ general manager John Dowling.

“The new press offers some advances in ink handling, while still providing the awesome print quality that our customers have come to expect,” explains Pamela Stubbs, production manager at Magnetic Attractions. “Similar to our existing equipment, it also customers to take advantage of multi-copy changes and variable printing capabilities for personalized and market-specific messages. Different phone numbers for different zip codes, no problem. Different franchises in different cities, no problem. Different websites for different markets, no problem. As long as we have the correct artwork and data, we can handle it.”

Magnetic Attractions’ customers also benefit from expanded tipping that affixes magnet-to-card stock, paper-to-paper, plastic-to-paper, and other substrates. Dowling adds, “The new equipment runs upwards of 120 pieces per minute. It’s ideal for pack-on promotions and in-pack direct mail featuring an easy, neat peel-away message.”
