Matrox Veos Announced Winner of Technology InAVation Award

New, innovative, multi-channel, digital extension product selected as Most InAVative Video processing or distribution product for commercial use

Integrated Systems Europe 2009, Amsterdam, NL - Matrox Graphics, the leading manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, is pleased to announce that Matrox Veos was selected as the winner in the Most InAVative Video Processing or Distribution Product for Commercial Use category at the InAVation Awards ceremony held this past Monday in Amsterdam. Veos is a new graphics extension product capable of delivering digital signage content from one system to many displays throughout small and large-scale venues. Made up of three components—master, display, and repeater units—Veos provides over 100m (330ft) of digital extension per component of up to three content channels.

"We are thrilled to be recognized as innovators in the area of digital signage AV technology," stated Ron Berty, business development manager, Matrox Graphics, Inc. "Cost, ease of installation, and scalability are all major factors complex AV installations. Veos helps simplify—and future-proof—the equation by providing the ability to drive multiple displays from one computer and easily grow the network as needed."

How Veos Works
The Veos Master unit connects to the computer, which recognizes it as an ultra-wide display with a resolution of 4080x768. The master unit uses the same Matrox patent-pending technology found in Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXMs) to divide this ultra-wide display into up to three unique channels (each 1360x768). These channels are then transmitted via a single coax cable to Veos Display units attached to screens to display the content. Capable of driving two screens, Display units can be toggled to show content from any of the transmitted channels and daisy-chained with virtually unlimited numbers of other Veos Display or Repeater units to branch and extend content across a wide variety of installations.

A true digital solution, Veos ensures perfect image quality and does not compromise resolution at any distance. For more information about Veos, visit: www.matrox.com/graphics/digitalsignage or contact us.
