Delcam offer free online demonstrations of CADCAM software, ArtCAM 2009

Delcam are giving visitors of Sign & Digital Show the opportunity to see the latest release of their Computer-Aided Design & Manufacturing (CADCAM) software range, ArtCAM 2009, in a number of free online demonstrations prior to the show.

ArtCAM is a professional and upgradeable software range that allows sign-makers to not only design directly from imported 2D artwork, 3D models or directly in the software but facilitates an easy transition into more advanced design & manufacturing as their company develops.

The first demonstration on the 24th of March will focus on ArtCAM’s mid-range product, ArtCAM Insignia 2009 which includes vector-based design, extensive 2D machining as well as basic 3D machining functionality. ArtCAM customer, Fernando Perez, believes that “Insignia not only has great capacity for V-carving, but powerful and intuitive toolpaths and an extremely user friendly interface”.

In the demonstration viewers will be shown how to minimise material wastage, by nesting all items to be cut as closely together as possible according to their true shape as well as simulating the view, a great tool for gaining customer approval, amongst other things.

The following demonstration taking place on the 27th of March will be on the top-of-the-range product, ArtCAM Pro for professional design and manufacture and will demonstrate how to model a gecko with the latest sculpting features, such as customisable sculpting brushes and then setting the toolpaths to CNC machine it.
