PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 11, 2009

B&P Graphics appointed as exclusive distributor for the DYSS range of print-and-cut machines in UK and Ireland.

BASINGSTOKE, UK DYSS (Dae Young Systems), a leading Korean supplier of UV direct to media printers and cutter/router tables has appointed B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd as their distributor for UK and Ireland. B&P, in association with Sun Chemical, whom B&P has appointed as a sub-distributor, will distribute the Apollo range of UV combination and flatbed printers and the X7 range of cutter/routers. “We chose B&P Graphics as our distributor in the UK because of their focus on customer education, commitment to providing superior product support, and proven demand-creation capabilities” says Hank Park, president, DYSS.

The DYSS Solution
DYSS is the only manufacturer now offering a full print-and-cut solution in the 1600mm to 3200mm sector. The new Apollo Series industrial UV direct to substrate printer is a multifunctional, fast and affordable range of digital printers. The range comprises a choice of five models from a printing width of 1.6 metres up to a huge 3200mm. These UV printers produce ultra-high quality images directly onto a wide variety of inexpensive, uncoated materials, from rigid display boards to roll-fed media. Customers can specify an optional four or six colour format, plus white or varnish.

VISCOM Milan saw the launch of a further innovative feature a full production line with a 24-head flatbed printer, able to punch registration holes in rigid board, a sheet feeder with the ability to ‘flip’ the board, and feed directly to the cutter, which then takes its registration positions from the back of the board to provide creasing and V-cut to the back side of the board. This is the ideal solution for packaging and is unique to DYSS!

About B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd
B&P Graphic Systems Ltd was formed in 1982 and, like all successful companies, went through several changes in developing the business, the milestones being; 1991 a conscious decision to focus on emerging digital systems, 2001 the entrance into the UV inkjet market with the Zund 215 printer and the relaunch of the company as B&P Lightbrigade Group Ltd, 2008 MBO and company re-profiled to focus on modern hardware, supplies and service. With over 3,000 systems installed, B&P Graphic Supplies has a considerable customer base to support with the introduction of innovative print-and-cut solutions, high quality media, inks and toners.

The relationship between DYSS and B&P
Andrew Wilson, managing director, B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd, says “ We have been in the UV printer market since its inception and have always been a little disappointed by a lack of labour-saving, or ease-of-use features in the machines available on the market, the DYSS Apollo is the first printer that ‘ticks all the boxes’ for us.

Some of the innovations we see on this machine are features that we have been crying out for over the past few years and, whilst they may seem insignificant in isolation, these features can add up to a big reduction in spoilage, and time taken per job, in a busy production environment.

Everyone who sees the printer is amazed at the build quality and this, along with a cutter/router table built to the same standards puts us in a very good position in the UK market. We have taken over the support of some 10 systems already installed in the UK, and are very excited about this.”

“We were overwhelmed by the interest we had at Viscom Milan, particularly in our unique packaging solution. The European market demands very high quality engineering - just look at the success of car brands like Mercedes and BMW I would say that DYSS is up in the same engineering league and, as such, is a perfect partner for B&P!”

About Sun Chemical
Sun Chemical, a member of the DIC group, is the world's largest producer of printing inks and pigments and a leading provider of materials to packaging, publication, coatings, plastics, cosmetics, and other industrial markets. With annual sales over $4 billion, Sun Chemical has over 11,000 employees supporting customers around the world.

Mike Farmer, equipment sales manager, for Sun Chemical says he is extremely positive about the new sub-distribution agreement with B&P Graphics, which he sees as giving the perfect combination of marketing “reach”, resulting from such a large combined customer base, and class-leading customer service. Farmer explained that Sun Chemical operates in all print disciplines and is confident that the Apollo series printers & X7 range of cutter/routers provide a solution to every requirement and budget. “Our customers’ requirements and applications vary enormously from vehicle graphics and estate agent boards to high quality POS advertising and exhibition graphics."The digital process is now very much a complementary process to screen and offset printing, enabling short and medium run production to be economically produced without compromising quality" Farmer added that the “Apollo series printers provide the right mix for price and performance with the added peace of mind from a high level of customer support from B&P’s team of experienced engineers, this coupled with all the extra usability features on the Apollo range is a real bonus for production houses” Farmer quotes an early Apollo customer as saying, “All the things we’ve seen wrong on other machines are right on the Apollo plus the build quality is superb.”
