Gemini’s New Mini Stud Block Offers Sign Installers More Flexibility

Cannon Falls, MN — Gemini Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of dimensional letters, logos and plaques for the sign industry, has just made installing thin-gauge products a whole lot easier with the introduction of a new small acrylic stud block.

Suitable for use with any of Gemini’s Acrylic, Metal Laminate on Acrylic and GemLeaf™ products, this is a great option for thin-gauge, thin-stroke letters that need to be mounted flush to the surface.

The overall block dimensions are 1/4" x 3/16" deep. The blocks are threaded for 6-32 (1/8") studs. What makes these stud blocks perfect for flush mount applications is their small precise size. Once applied to the back of a letter, you can install the letters as either a 3/16” standoff or, if the stroke of the letter is wide enough, recess the entire block into the mounting surface for a flush stud option. For the flush mount application, all that needs to be done is to drill a normal hole for the stud and then countersink or widen the edge of the hole to accommodate the small acrylic block.
